hey, I’m

Daniel Ganjali

I love building things, and doing it with a good team.

I’m 16, in grade 11 at UTS here in Toronto. Most of my time goes into robots, AI, and talking a team into building something ambitious before the next deadline.

OutreachOS

2026

Building now

An operating system for outreach. I’m building it to take the boring, repetitive parts of business development off people’s plates, so a tiny team can punch way above its weight.

Dum-E

2025

Hack the North · Highest Distinction

A robot arm you can actually talk to. Tell it what you want in plain English and it works out the rest: it sees the scene with computer vision, reasons with an LLM, and moves with inverse kinematics. Built in a weekend at Hack the North.

2025

BramHacks · 1st of 700+ · $5,000

An AI system that keeps an eye on satellites and predicts failures before they happen (~85% accuracy). It won BramHacks, first out of 700+, and somehow ended up in the news and in front of Brampton City Council.

Where it all started.

I’ve been on my school’s robotics team for four years now, and captain for the last two. When I joined we were 20 kids and a single team. Today we’re 80+ across four teams, and I lead the programming and systems side in C++.

The part I’m proudest of: we’ve qualified for the VEX World Championships two years running, finishing top 30 in the world.

AI Rescue Turret

2025

Hack the 6ix · 1st + Best Hardware · $2,500

A little turret that spots someone in the water and automatically launches a rescue buoy to them. A camera to find the target, depth estimation to range it, and PID control to aim, all on a Raspberry Pi and Arduino.

When I’m not building.

I swim, play soccer, and I’ve been a die-hard Tottenham fan for eight years, through every high and low. Watching Spurs finally lift a trophy last season was a genuine highlight.

Predictra

2025

SpurHacks · 2nd AI Startup + Most Scalable · $5,500

A system that predicts how much life a machine part has left, without ever needing to watch one fail. Built to drop into all kinds of industrial gear.

Surgical Instrument Validation

2025

TerraHacks · Best Healthcare · $1,000

A vision system that double-checks surgical trays and flags anything missing, so operating rooms catch setup mistakes before they matter.
